Why try the AI age effect

  • The whole change, not one still

An aging filter usually gives you a single old photo. Here you watch the decades pass in one continuous shot, from today’s face to grey hair and wrinkles.

  • Made for social posts

You get a 5-second 720p MP4 that keeps the shape of your photo. Use a vertical photo for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

  • Free credits to start

New accounts get free credits. If a video fails or takes too long, the credits are refunded automatically.

Getting a good aging result

The face does most of the work in this effect, so give the AI a good view of it. Pick a sharp, well-lit head-and-shoulders photo of one person looking toward the camera, with hair and face not covered by sunglasses, a hat or a hand. Soft, even light shows the wrinkles and grey hair more clearly than harsh shadows.

Photos taken from far away, at a strong angle or in the dark give the AI less to go on, and the older face may look less like the original. Group photos can age the wrong person. A plain or simple background also keeps attention on the face.

What the video looks like

Over about five seconds, the person in your photo ages by decades in one smooth shot: hair turns grey and then white, wrinkles appear, and the face settles into a gentle smile. Clothes, pose and background stay the same. The video is 720p, has no sound and is made with our Fast quality level.

The older face is the AI’s guess, not a prediction of how you will really age, and every result is a little different. Features can drift as the face changes. If you don’t like the first video, try again or use another photo. Videos made with free credits carry a small AI watermark in the corner; videos made with paid credits have none.

Frequently asked questions

Use a photo of yourself or of someone who agreed to it. Photos of children aren’t allowed, and photos with nudity are rejected.

No one can say that. The AI makes a believable older version from your photo, but real aging depends on genes, health and life, so treat it as a fun preview.

No. This effect always ages the person into an elderly version of themselves, over the same 5 seconds. There are no age settings.

Yes. Your photo is uploaded to our servers and sent to our AI video provider, which makes the video. Videos are kept for 30 days and then deleted.

Try again or use a different photo; each video comes out a little different. If a video fails or takes too long, your credits are refunded automatically.
