VivClip (“we”, “us”) runs vivclip.com. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site and how it is handled. The short version: our free video tools process your files in your own browser, and we never receive those files.
Your files stay on your device
When you use a VivClip video tool (for example, the video compressor), the file is read and processed by your browser on your device. It is not uploaded to VivClip or anyone else, and we cannot see, store or share it.
To do this, your browser downloads a video processing engine (ffmpeg.wasm) the first time you use a tool. The engine is delivered by a public content delivery network, jsDelivr. Like any website you request a file from, jsDelivr receives standard request information such as your IP address and browser type. It does not receive your videos.
Information we collect
You do not need an account to use the free tools. We collect only:
- Technical request data handled by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Aggregated, privacy-friendly usage statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), such as page views and country, which do not use cookies to track you across sites.
- Anything you choose to send us by email, such as your address and message, used only to reply to you.
Cookies
The free tools do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may store the video engine in its cache so it loads faster next time; you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
If you pick a light or dark theme, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
How we use information
We use the limited information above to run and secure the site, understand which pages are useful, fix problems and answer your messages. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers
We rely on Cloudflare to host and deliver the site and to provide anonymous analytics, and on jsDelivr to deliver the video engine. They process request data on our behalf or as independent providers under their own privacy policies.
Data retention
We do not keep server logs of our own. Request data passes through Cloudflare, which keeps it for a limited time under its own policy to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Analytics are stored only as aggregated counts that do not identify you. Support emails are deleted 12 months after your request is closed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. Because we do not run accounts or receive your files, we usually hold very little. To make a request, email support@vivclip.com.
Children
VivClip is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, for example when we add accounts or paid features, and change the date at the top.
