Is Kling AI Free? Plans, Limits and an Alternative
Kling AI, made by Kuaishou, has a free plan, but it’s limited: a few free uses a day, a watermark on every video and no commercial use. This page is an overview. VivClip isn’t affiliated with Kuaishou and doesn’t run Kling, but you can turn a photo into a short video here with our own models.

An alternative for photo-to-video
VivClip doesn’t run Kling. If you want a short video from a photo, try VivClip image to video at High quality: 5 or 10 seconds, 720p or 1080p, with sound that fits the scene. The Generate button shows the cost before you start, and failed videos are refunded.

PhotoWhat the free Kling plan includes
Kling’s Basic plan is free. According to Kling’s own blog in July 2026, it includes 3 free uses per day. Videos made on the free plan carry a watermark and can’t be used commercially, so they’re fine for testing but not for client work or monetized posts.
Paid plans remove the watermark and allow commercial use. Standard lists at about $10 a month for about 660 credits, Pro at about $37 for about 3,000, Premier at about $92 for about 8,000 and Ultra at about $180 for about 26,000. First-month discounts are common. Kling changes prices often, so check the official site before you subscribe.
Kling 4.0 and 3.0: what they can do
Kling 4.0 launched in full in October 2026. It makes clips up to 30 seconds in one pass, takes up to 15 reference assets with Omni Reference and up to 10 keyframes, and outputs 10-bit HDR. 4K, 21:9 and 2-minute extension are described as coming, and the API isn’t open yet.
Kling 3.0 and 3.0 Omni (February 2026) make clips up to 15 seconds with native audio in several languages, including English and Spanish. They add a multi-shot storyboard, references and voice cloning. Kling 2.6 was the first Kling with native audio; 2.5 Turbo is silent.
Kling or VivClip?
Kling is a strong pick for longer clips, multi-shot stories and detailed control with keyframes and references. VivClip is simpler: upload one photo, choose 5 or 10 seconds and 720p or 1080p, and get an MP4 with sound in a few minutes. Videos made with paid credits on VivClip have no watermark.
